Terms of Service

Hopeful Child Foundation LLC (“we”) operates this desk. By using the site, including by checking “I agree” at checkout, you accept these terms.

Who may use it

The desk is for families, teachers, and other grown-ups. Children may read stories and use Design Your Future with a grown-up nearby. We never create an account for a child. We never ask a child for a name, email, school, or home address. The state field is the legislature you want to follow or write, not a child’s location.

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Accounts are for parents, guardians and educators.

The work

Stories, briefings, and letters are civic literacy tools. They are not legal advice, not a lawyer, and not a vote recommendation. Sources are linked. We do not invent bill numbers, vote counts, or quotes.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape, overload, or impersonate the desk. Do not use Design Your Future to send threats, spam, or anyone else’s words as a child’s. We may refuse or rate-limit abuse.

School license

School license. A seat is one named teacher, identified by email. One seat may not be shared between people. The admin who buys the license is responsible for who holds a seat and for removing people who leave. Account holders, including admins and teachers, must be 18 or older. There are no student accounts; students use the site only through a teacher, and we never collect a student's name, email, or school record. The license renews each year. You may cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid term and then stops. Added seats are billed prorated for the rest of the term. No refunds are permitted, consistent with our Refunds policy. Invoices are due in 30 days; unpaid invoices may end access.

You may print a story for your household or classroom under a paid Classroom or School plan.

Intellectual property

Hopeful Child Foundation owns the desk, the wordmark, and original stories we publish. You may not resell our text as your product.

Liability

The desk is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for a legislative outcome. Some states do not allow these limits. If yours does not, those limits do not apply to you.

Governing law

Hopeful Child Foundation is a limited liability company formed in Arizona. These terms are governed by Arizona law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before a lawsuit, write hope@hopefulchild.com and give us thirty days to make it right.
